Entierra los pies en la arena de la playa, ¡que se encuentra a apenas 5 minutos de la escuela EF! Admira la arquitectura de los callejones de la ciudad y explora los edificios árabes de Gibralfaro y la Alcazaba. Visita la casa donde nació Picasso, antes de ver algunos de sus mejores trabajos en el Museo Picasso. Maravíllate ante la impresionante Catedral de Málaga, construida sobre una antigua mezquita. Admira la pompa de las corridas de toros en la histórica plaza y visita el antiguo teatro romano, que ha cumplido más de 2.000 años.

Compras

El casco viejo, peatonal, está repleto de pequeñas boutiques independientes, realzadas por los elegantes escaparates de la calle Larios. La Plaza Mayor es un moderno centro comercial especializado en tiendas de marca.

Deportes y aire libre

Pasa las tardes relajándote en la playa de la Malagueta, a poca distancia del centro de la ciudad. Pasate por el mundialmente famoso Jardín Botánico de la Concepción. Haz submarinismo en las cristalinas aguas del Mediterráneo o toma lecciones de vela, windsurf o esquí acuático. Sal por las colinas de los alrededores y encontrarás el mejor senderismo y escalada de la región.

Excursiones

Sal de los límites de tu ciudad para explorar la orgullosa capital, Madrid, la moderna ciudad costera de Barcelona o la arquitectura árabe de Granada. También contarás con la oportunidad de visitar Tarifa, en el estrecho de Gibraltar, y pasar a Marruecos para conocer la cultura norteafricana.

Ocio y vida nocturna

Saborea unas tapas auténticas en la terraza de un café de la elegante Plaza de la Merced, para después asistir a un espectáculo flamenco en el Teatro Cervantes. Conoce los últimos lanzamientos del cine español en el Festival de Cine de Málaga. Casi cada noche, podrás recorrer las sinuosas calles de la ciudad, llenas de gente que ya no cabe en los bares, y descubrir su vida nocturna.

Feast of St John

Throughout the different neighbourhoods of Málaga, spectacular goings-on celebrate the Feast of St John (San Juan). The festival reaches a climax at midnight on 23 June, when large cloth figures known as júas are set on fire.

Virgen del Carmen

Malaga's fishing district pays homage to the Virgen del Carmen - her image is carried on a dais around the neighbourhood then placed on a flower-covered boat. Traditional song and dance accompanies the fleet as it then sails down the coast.

Feria de Málaga

During the Feria de Málaga, the city buzzes with colour and life. All the locals join in the revelry and the streets fill with traditional costume, live music, flamenco and food stalls dishing up typical Andalusian cuisine.

Nuestra Señora de la Victoria Pilgrimage

Every year the Nuestra Señora de la Victoria Pilgrimage in Málaga sees devotees travel on horseback or in richly decorated carts to the saint's sanctuary. On arrival a Mass is said, accompanied by a floral offering and typical Malaga folk music.

Verdiales Festival

Verdiales is a lively flamenco style born in the olive-growing region of Malaga. Malaga's major Verdiales Festival takes place in the city's Puerto de la Torre district and coincides with the Day of the Innocents, Spain's answer to April Fools'.

Parade of the Three Wise Men

The traditional Parade of the Three Wise Men is held in Malaga's town centre. Kings Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar lead a colourful parade and hundreds of children gather to catch the sweets and toys that they scatter from their floats.

During the run-up to Lent, Málaga fills with colour for its annual Carnival. Costumed parades take to the streets, featuring murga street bands, masked revellers, dancers and choruses. The celebrations reach a peak during the main procession on Carnival Sunday.
